Spark OS™
The survivorship operating system underneath every clinic.
Spark OS is not another EHR and not a wellness app. It is the protocol engine, patient-owned chart, clinician workspace, and audit trail that make survivorship a scalable, guideline-anchored, franchisable category.
The six layers
Every layer replaces a spreadsheet, a PDF, or a fax that shouldn't exist in 2026.
Portable patient-owned chart
The survivorship record lives with the person, not with any single clinic. Downloadable, shareable via revocable snapshot links, printable summary for a new PCP visit.
Protocol engine
Every exposure (drug, dose, radiation field, surgical bed) maps to a schedule of labs, imaging, specialist visits, and behavioral touchpoints anchored to COG-LTFU, NCCN Survivorship, ASCO, and ASCO Cardio-Oncology.
Clinician workspace
Chairside CTCAE grader, deprescribing worksheet, cascade builder, tumor-board notes, coding cheat sheet, oncologic-emergency triage, immunization decision aid, and 20+ point-of-care tools.
FHIR interoperability
Consent-scoped FHIR read/write for connected EHRs. Survivor decides what flows out and to whom. Automated sync is off by default until HIPAA readiness is complete.
PHI audit trail
Every view, export, and share of a survivor's chart is logged. Survivor can see who accessed what and revoke access instantly. Immutable audit surface for compliance reviews.
Cohort insights (de-identified)
Aggregated, de-identified surveillance-completion rates, adherence, and outcomes across the network — for franchisees, payers, and research partners. Individual PHI never leaves the survivor's chart.
Under the hood
Security-first architecture. No hand-waving.
| Layer | Implementation |
|---|---|
| Auth & identity | OIDC-based, role-scoped (patient, clinician, admin), MFA supported, session audit |
| Data at rest | AES-256 encryption, encrypted backups, key rotation |
| Data in transit | TLS 1.3 minimum, HSTS enforced |
| PHI segmentation | Row-level security with security-definer role checks; roles never live on the profile table |
| Interop | HL7 FHIR R4, SMART-on-FHIR launch, structured discharge/summary export |
| Observability | Structured audit logs, PHI access ledger, error capture with PHI scrubbing |
| Uptime target | 99.9% SLA on Spark OS clinician workspace |
| Compliance posture | HIPAA-ready infrastructure; SOC 2 Type II in progress; BAAs with all subprocessors |
See the HIPAA readiness page for the current live status of each control.
What Spark OS is not
Categorically different from the tools it sits beside.
Not another EHR
Spark OS sits on top of the existing oncology and primary care EHR stack. It is the survivorship layer — the thing that was missing from every other system.
Not a portal
Portals are read-only for patients and write-only for clinicians. Spark OS is a two-sided workspace: the survivor authors their story, the clinician acts on the protocol.
Not a wellness app
No coaching subscriptions, no supplement pushing, no shadow health record. Every tool ties back to a guideline citation you can click through to.
Every Life Spark clinic runs on Spark OS.
One protocol library. One patient chart. One audit trail. That's how you scale survivorship without losing the standard.
